Congratulations to Eric Lang (‘90) on his induction into the 2025 Central Lee Academic Hall of Fame! 🎓
An agricultural engineer and innovator, Eric holds nearly 30 patents and has led cutting-edge projects at John Deere and Iowa State University. His work continues to shape the future of ag technology, and he remains grounded in his roots through his family farm near Vinton. 🌾
The Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on May 9, 2026, at 10:00am at Central Lee High School.


Miss McCoy, who retired last year, came back as a guest instructor to teach an 8th grade history lesson! Thanks, Miss McCoy, it was great having you back in the building :)

This week, they explored chromosomes, alleles, and how genetic variation makes every living thing unique.
To bring these concepts to life, students built their own “Reebops” using marshmallows, pipe cleaners, thumbtacks, toothpicks, and sewing pins. Each student drew a set of alleles, and each combination created a different genotype, which resulted in a fun variety of phenotypes!
It was a hands-on, engaging way to understand how genetics contributes to the differences we see in animals and ourselves!



Central Lee's Impulse team will perform their final dance (kick) at the Casey's Center at 4:59pm, not the EMC Expo Center.
Our Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams are back in action tonight in a big SEISC matchup as they take on the Notre Dame Nikes!

Our Central Lee Impulse team travels to the Casey's Center in Des Moines today (Thursday) and Friday to compete at the ISDTA State Championships! Months of hard work come down to this exciting moment. They will be performing three dances: Mix, Pom, and Kick.

After leading a lesson with their high school SOAR classes, the team headed to the elementary to teach the same lesson to every class—spreading kindness and connection across all ages.
To wrap up the day, students returned to the high school for a little friendly competition: the annual holiday door decorating contest! 🎄
