On Friday, Feb. 20th the high school jazz band competed in their first competition in over five years. The band traveled to Ottumwa to play in the Indian Hills Jazz Fest and earned 1st place in the 2A division. The next competition for the band will be March 7th in Washington, Iowa at the SEIBA District Jazz Competition.

C-Force traveled to Pella on Saturday, February 21, to compete in the Pella Dutch Masters Show Choir Invitational. The ensemble earned 2nd place in Class 2A, Best Choreography, and several individual honors. Freshman, Ashton Sullivan, received the Outstanding Performer Award, while freshman Lauryn Hayes was named Outstanding Soloist for the day. C-Force also advanced to the evening finals, finishing as 4th Runner-Up.
This coming weekend, February 28, C-Force and the Central Lee Music Boosters will host 23 choirs at the Central Lee Central Connections Invitational.

Central Lee art students had the opportunity to learn stained glass techniques with guidance from Craig Wills. Students created beautiful star designs while learning the process step by step.

After a defeat of the Falcons tonight with a score of 44-39, the Hawks advance to the District Final next Tuesday, February 24th. They will play Iowa City Regina, at Regina High School in hopes of making it to the Substate game.

Central Lee High School shared the love with our elementary students on February 13! SOAR classes partnered with elementary classrooms to teach lessons on emotions and body language while building leadership skills. 💕
Frogs were also hidden throughout classrooms, and students who found one received a special Valentine prize in the library. 🐸
