Welcome Back to Students and Families!

Meet and Greet

During this year’s Meet & Greet, we aimed to provide students and families with essential information from both the classrooms and the building. To engage students with all staff members, we introduced a Travel Log. Students who completed their journey around the school earned a school-themed water bottle, generously provided by our PTO.

A new feature this year was an activity where students met with me, Mr. Wells, Mrs. Wells & Atari, and Mrs. Barclift to create paper hands. These hands are now part of our building’s decor and represent earning a “High 5” for giving their all, making good choices, following directions, and being kind. This motto is recited each morning during our video announcements, reminding students how we can all SHINE BRIGHT TOGETHER by earning a “High 5” every day this school year! We’re off to a fantastic start, with students already embracing their roles as leaders and earning their “High 5s.”

Teachers’ New Year’s Party

Our elementary teachers have been hard at work preparing for the new school year, particularly with the implementation of our new core ELA program—Magnetic & Ready Reading. To celebrate this fresh start and the opportunity to positively impact students’ lives, we held a Happy New Year Party. I’m incredibly proud of our faculty for their dedication and willingness to adapt their teaching practices to better support student learning. Each teacher brings their unique “art” to the classroom, creating an environment where students feel safe, valued, and capable of learning at high levels.

Rodeo Queens Visit our School - Yee Haw!

Each fall, many of our students and families attend the Tri-State Rodeo, and we embrace the event with a dress up-day and a special visit from the Rodeo Queens. This year, the queens joined us during lunch and recess, where they were met with enthusiastic fans. They joined the students on the slides, played kickball, and even pushed them on the swings. It was a fantastic experience for both our students and the queens. A huge thank you to Kelli Metcalf for arranging this memorable event every year!
