Preschool Field Trip Adventure: Library, Post Office, and Park!
Our preschoolers had a wonderful time on their recent field trip to the local library, post office, and park! It was a day full of learning, exploration, and a little bit of fun in the sun.
First Stop: The Library! Our adventure began at the library, where the children were greeted by the friendly librarians, Sunny and her helper, Elaine. They explored the shelves filled with colorful books and enjoyed a special storytime session. It was a magical moment as they listened attentively to stories about animals, adventure, and friendship. Inspired by their visit, many kids were eager to borrow books and participate in the library's summer reading program. They also created a special craft—a “hug” to mail to their families!
Next Stop: The Post Office! After the library, we made our way to the post office. The children were fascinated to see how letters and packages are sorted and sent to their destinations. They learned about the importance of stamps, addresses, and how the mail system works. Each child also had the chance to “send” a Valentine to their home, which will arrive soon! A big thank you to the postal workers for showing us the ropes and explaining their daily tasks.
Final Stop: The Park! To wrap up the day, we headed to the local park, where the kids ran, played, and explored nature. From soaring on the swings to playing tag with friends, it was the perfect way to end our field trip with lots of laughter and fun. It was also a great opportunity to tie in some outdoor learning!
This memorable experience would not have been possible without the support of our local businesses and parks. Field trips like these help bring lessons to life and create lasting memories. We can't wait for our next adventure!
