“What’s Going Well?”
This year, the elementary teachers are utilizing Greg Bell’s book, What’s Going Well?, to support our growth mindset as a team. At each faculty and building leadership meeting, we start by asking, “What’s going well?”
Once our team has reminded ourselves of our successes, we ask other questions to guide our professional development, such as,
“How can we improve instruction to support student learning?”
Individually, we reflected on this question throughout August so we could come together to refine our instructional practices. For the 2022-23 school year, each team member committed to an instructional time frame and focused on intentional planning of learning standards while keeping student engagement in mind.
The elementary team is confident that with ongoing teamwork and collaboration throughout the school year, our efforts will support student achievement. Here’s to a successful year and continuous improvement as educators!
