Students were able to meet, interact, and ask questions to the various professional, employers, professors, and college students in attendance. #CTEworksforCL
Learning how to be a leader is a very important part of instruction for students at Central Lee! Along with our implementation of Leader in Me, teachers will be honoring students who are showcasing high level use of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. One student was selected from each classroom K-5 as HAWK Student of the Month this October and November. These students are celebrated for their use of Habit 1: Be Proactive and Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. We are very proud of the positive culture this leadership focus brings to our school. Way to go, kids! #Proud2bCL
Central Lee FFA participates in Wreath’s Across America!! Wreath’s Across America is a wonderful non-profit organization that was established in 2007 by a wreath producer named Morrill Worcester. Its purpose is to teach the next generation the value of freedom, and to honor those who have served by laying wreaths on the gravesites of the many men and women who have served this country. The Central Lee FFA Chapter is part of the thousands nationwide that help keep this precious tradition going by volunteering each year during the holiday season. They certainly showed their gratitude by placing 1,900 wreaths this year in remembrance of our fallen heroes at the National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa!
