Central Lee students are exposed to the skilled trades through many experiences during their education journey at Central Lee. It may be during a Career and Technical Education class, in their Career SOAR time each week, or various experiences offered K-12. Recently, High School students were able to attend the Skilled Trades Expo put on by the Iowa National Guard. There were dozens of experts representing the many skilled trades opportunities in our area. Students were able to learn about apprenticeships, careers, and their next steps into a great career. #CTEworkforCL

Aubree Boyd is enjoying her internship at with Dr. Nicole Walljasper at Walljasper Veterinary Clinic. Aubree’s career goals include going to vet school and becoming a veterinarian. Through this internship Aubree is learning skills, gaining work experience, and developing a mentorship with a professional in the career field. The hands on experience will give her an advantage as she moves towards her career goals. #CTEworksforCL

The Central Lee Ag-Ed/FFA conducted their annual service/labor auction recently. A complimentary soup supper was sponsored by The Lee County Farm Bureau for a large crowd of supporters. All are active members of the Central Lee Agricultural Education Department and FFA. The Central Lee FFA auction was a huge success raising funds for student and community activities. We sincerely thank the community, parents and administration for their continued support. We especially thank the auctioneers for donating their time.
