Several Central Lee FFA members assisted with Farmer Bill’s Barn at the Lee County Fair. The event is organized by the Lee County Farm Bureau to share the story of agriculture to the public and how raw agricultural products reach the consumer. The Central Lee FFA officer team participates in an annual leadership retreat. The group has an opportunity to bond as a team and plan many of the activities for Central Lee FFA members. Congratulations to Mr. Tracy Madsen for receiving the Iowa Choral Directors Association Honors Initiative Award for Southeast Iowa 2024! An awards ceremony was held in Pella to honor Mr. Madsen and other award recipients. A well-deserved recognition for Mr. Madsen for his dedication and passion to students, music, and Central Lee!

Central Lee Cheer attended UCA Summer Camp at Western Illinois University this past weekend, learning new skills and bonding as a team. They won the banana award for great leadership, spirit, and teamwork! Congratulations to Captain Summer Hunold and Captain Aurora Edens for making All American Cheer and representing Varsity Spirit. Seniors Alivia Cook and Lillian Rozario were also chosen for the parade. Summer Hunold and Alivia Cook received Pin it Forward awards for their leadership and spirit. Luke Kruse constructed and donated three movable chess game tables to Central Lee Hawk's Place as part of his Eagle Scout project. Luke and other Scouts hosted a chess tournament on Monday for the Hawk's Place students. Connor Hunold was the Chess Champion!
