Congratulations to our high school football team for their 33-12 win over Davis County tonight!

It has been a busy couple of days this week at Hawk Place. Wednesday Elliott Test Kitchen students helped prepare and serve the end of the month meal in Ft. Madison. They received many compliments on the courteous service and attentiveness to the people at their assigned tables.
This week career theme was "Start Your Engines" featuring local race car drivers and dirt bike racers. We would like to thank Central Lee Alumni Jeremy Pundt, Levi Smith, and Jeremy Tweedy with son Devin's bike (Devin had to work so was unable to attend), as well as high school student, Ethan Bergman and our own Mason Longnecker. Another Central Lee graduate, Josh Foster, who lives out of the area, visited with students via Zoom. We also want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Brian Gaylord, Lee County Raceway, for their generosity of giving the students tickets to the races along with a candy treat. Thank you to all who gave their time for the kids.

REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, October 3, for teacher in-service. We hope our students enjoy the three-day weekend!

There Judge Lightfoot instructed them on court procedures, answered questions and held a mock trial with the students participating in the various career positions during the trial. Students were playing the roles of Judge, Prosecutors, Defense Attorneys, Defendants, Jurors, Witnesses, Court Recorder, Court Attendant, and Guard. The defendant was charged with "Running in the halls at Central Lee". After hearing arguments presented by the student attorneys, the defendant was found guilty by vote from the jurors with Judge Britton and Judge Hoang presiding.
