All students at Central Lee Middle School recently participated in Battle of the Books at the local level. We had two teams advance and those students competed at the regional battle on Wednesday. The 7th grade team (Jenna Brown, Zach Estrada, Macie Doty, Bella Vollmer, Skye Williamson, and Ethan Capps) did a great job and should be very proud of their hard work. The 6th grade team, comprised of Macy Martin, Leah Azinger, Alexis Hellweg, Afton Maynes, Evelyn Adkins, and Aubree Perkins, placed 3rd! All students at the regional competition had the honor of speaking with author Dan Gutman, a New York Times Best Selling Author. Congratulations to the two teams! The 6th grade teams were coached by Mrs. Derr, the 7th grade teams were coached by Mrs. Massey, and the 8th grade teams were coached by Ms. Gunther.
