Message from Davis County regarding Saturday's District Quarterfinal baseball game:
Saturday, July 10th Davis County will be hosting the first round of the Class 2A District 12 baseball tournament. Pekin and Cardinal will be playing at 5:00 and Davis County vs Central Lee will follow at 7:00.
The IHSAA will be using Hometown Ticketing. Davis County will not be allowing cash sales at the gate, all tickets must be purchased through Hometown Ticketing. Tickets are $6. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, July 7th.

Central Lee will hold open interviews for teaching associates on Wednesday, July 14!
We’re searching for professionals to serve in associate roles for grades PreK-12. Associates receive competitive wages and are full-time employees. They work directly with students on a daily basis, assisting with matters like ensuring student safety and wellbeing, providing one-on-one support and helping teachers implement lesson plans.
The interviews will take place from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the District Board Office, located at 2642 Highway 218 in Donnellson. Interested candidates should bring a copy of their resume with them to the event.

Central Lee Elementary will have a new after-school program this fall!
Hawk’s Place will provide after-school academic support, physical activities and enrichment opportunities to students in grades K-6. We plan to make the program free for the next two school years, leveraging federal CARES Act funding to provide the service. We will actively seek additional funding for programming beyond the 2022-23 school year.
We will develop and share more details over the next three weeks, while also hiring personnel to support Hawk’s Place. The after-school coordinator position is posted to the public, with the application window closing Friday, July 9.

The Pilot Grove Savings Bank has been instrumental in supporting Agricultural Education and FFA at Central Lee High School. Recently they donated $1000 to the purchase of a plasma cutting table. The new technology will enhance career and technology education at Central Lee. Students at Central Lee experience essential classroom knowledge and use that knowledge to practice "hands on" activities similar to what they would experience in industry. Our cheerleaders are working hard this summer to prepare for next year! This past week, they participated in a yoga workout provided by Crossed Paw Yoga. Thank you to Anna Westermeyer for facilitating this for our cheerleaders.

The Ag-Ed Department/Central Lee FFA planted their school land lab recently. Denton Westerkamp(L) and Payton Stevens(R) were instrumental in assisting with the planting process. Students in a farm management course make all decisions for the land lab based on technical knowledge learned in the classroom. #CTEworksforCL
The Central Lee Agriculture department purchased a 4400 Torchmate plasma cutter recently with the assistance of several local entities and some school funding. Pictured 2nd from left is Jake Simmons, the Vice-President and Chief Steward for the Local UFCW which made a significant donation for this modern technology for student learning. Jake is a graduate of Central Lee and credits much of his success to Career and Technology Education at Central Lee High School. We thank them for their contribution to this project.
